Biopharma firms set to expand ops
Two companies developing products to treat ophthalmic conditions are focused on growth in the Tampa Bay area.
Sirion Therapeutics Inc., headquartered in Sabal Park, is in the process of hiring more than 30 people as it prepares to bring one of its four potential drugs now in clinical development to market later this year. RetinaPharma Technologies Inc., a company with ties to Accentia Biopharmaceuticals Inc., is relocating its headquarters from St. Louis to the same building Accentia occupies in South Tampa.
